In a nutshell, the Demeter platform simplifies and standardises your business processes, providing greater visibility across your organisation so that everyone knows what needs to be done, when, and by whom. As the video shows, from the Demeter Home Page, you can easily work on tasks, track and manage all your business processes, and access frequently used apps. By default, all users land on the ‘my tasks’ list, so they can see every task that require their input in one place.

There are three main sections accessible from the Home Page:

1. Process Catalog

This is where you will find templated processes that you can deploy easily into your organisation. These processes are stress-tested and ready to use but can also be customised to your needs.

In the video, we’ve used the ‘Holiday Request’ process as an example. The user simply clicks on the overview to bring up a diagram which shows exactly where they are in the process (Has holiday leave been approved? If so, have the details been added to the HR system?) and what needs to be done next. It’s an at-a-glance visual indicator of how well a process is working, so you and your staff no longer have to chase down why a task is stuck.

2. Processes

Under the ‘Processes’ section on the Demeter platform, you can see which tasks are active, what is required to complete the task, and who has responsibility. Once completed, the task is automatically moved to the right person’s work queue and the process is updated.

Each task is assigned a time period during which it should be completed. A colour-coded system shows whether the task is active, overdue, inactive or completed.

For every business process, the platform provides concise information and step-by-step guidance about what needs to be done and by whom. This improves workflow management, standardises your processes, makes it much quicker and easier to train staff, and create reports that provide a dashboard of processes that are most important to you. Your available reports can be run from here or be scheduled to run at a frequency of your choosing.

3. Creating New Business Processes
